Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has distinguished himself in his first year as Prime Minister by his unprecedented rhetorical support for a large scale evacuation of land and settlements in the West Bank.

The rash of ad hominem criticism of former president Jimmy Carter’s best selling Palestine Peace Not Apartheid is the latest example of the dedicated effort of American groups and individuals who describe themselves as “pro Israel” to discourage criticism of Israel’s policies toward the Palestinians.

Evacuation of outposts is a classic example of MK Avigdor Lieberman’s importance in the government. Had we not joined the government [coalition], [Prime Minister Ehud] Olmert would have been forced to swear in [a representative from] the Labor Party who is committed to the evacuation of illegal outposts--at the price of our Jewish brothers.
